WOW - Holding Hands!!!

She had an arranged marriage. The way she was brought up, her culture, family values, respect for her parents etc. made her give this big responsibility on the shoulders of her parents. She knew they will take the best decision for her.

So one fine day she was told to take leave from her office for a week to meet a guy and if things go well there would be an engagement ceremony. Her parents had already known the family and had finished with all the initial talks.

So as a good girl she did as she was told. They met in a temple and had a talk for about 30 minutes. It was a yes from both the parties and engagement happened the very next day.

She still wonders how such a big thing called "Arranged Marriage" works. Such a big decision of being with someone for the rest of your life, can be taken in 30 minutes. But again the chances of success or failure is always there in both kinds of marriages whether it's a love marriage or an arranged marriage.

After the engagement ceremony they exchanged their phone numbers for the first time.

Then began the exchange of messages from "good morning", "good night", "love you" and finally to "hate you", for more than six month's time.

Since they were working in two different cities they didn't get any chance to meet on a regular basis. But after about 2-3 months, one day she got a message that he is in her city coming to her office in an hour. Since her brother was also there in the same city at that time, she informed him about this.

Now it was the time for her brother to show his love for his sister. So, before he came to her office, her brother came. And before he met her, they met. They spent whole evening together. Needless to mention all three of them. It was like three strangers walking together.

After sensing all good and satisfied her brother took the decision of not coming for their tomorrow's meeting.

Each day brings a miracle of its own. They fixed a place and time for their meeting. On the way, she bought a small book of beautiful love quotes for him from Archie's gallery.

They met at the designated place, just two of them. They went to a temple first. Then they went to cafe coffee day. A lot can happen over coffee. Since they had a full day to pass they kept sitting there till evening and kept ordering a new thing after every half an hour. They tried almost everything on the menu there.

As most of the boys are, he also had no idea about what gift to bring for her. He wanted to buy something for her as per her choice. So they went to a mall to buy some gift. Till this time it was still like two strangers walking together. They were walking together maintaining a distance of one hand as it is told in the schools before starting Mass PT, "take one hand distance".

It is said that "When you want something, the whole universe conspires to make it happen".
Just then, something happened that shrank that one hand distance and converted it to hold hands together forever.

Everything happens for a purpose. While coming down from the stairs she didn't know how but she slipped four-five steps of the stairs and got hurt. Few people standing there started staring and laughing. She almost felt like crying.

Then as a Hero comes for rescuing the heroine in the Bollywood movies, he came for her rescue. Love changes everything and that one hand distance changed to hold hands together for that time and for the lifetime.

Holding hands that time felt to her like a promise to one another that, for just that moment, the two of them don't have to face the world alone. That was the first time in true sense she was holding hands of someone she loved.

She has fallen down so many times and has stood up but falling that time gave her an opportunity of togetherness. Now the other two days of their meeting were completely different. They did not leave their hands even for a minute. They were holding hands and walking together everywhere. It made them come close to each other. It gave them a feeling of togetherness.

On the day of her marriage she whispered in his ears "I want to fall hundred times if you are there to hold my hands".

Magic Of Warmth

One day I went shopping leaving my kids and my husband at home. I gave them lot of instructions before leaving as what they have to do, what they have to eat, where the food is etc. I tried finishing my shopping fast as I was worried about them. There was a huge rush in the market as it was a festival season. I got really tired as I had to buy a lot of things. Still I felt nice as I thought it's always easy, fast and nice to shop without kids with you.

But when I reached home, I almost fainted seeing the condition of the house. The whole house was a mess. My husband was watching TV, my elder one was playing game on laptop, and the younger one was watching cartoon on the tab, lying on the bed made by joining all the cushions of the sofa on the floor.

The food that I had prepared was kept in the kitchen as I had kept them. No one cared to even touch it. The living room was flooded with wrappers of cookies and chocolates. The storage containers of the snacks were lying open on the table. Plates and glasses were kept on the sofa. Shoe rack was empty and the shoes were lined up outside the shoe rack.

There was a chair train made out of dining table chairs in the middle of the kitchen. Bed-sheets and blankets were flying in the sky in the shape of tent. Water colors, paint brushes and water were spilled all over the floor. All of them were enjoying to their fullest. Nobody was there to scold them for doing anything. All of them were free and independent to do whatever they wanted to do.

Seeing all this mess I could not control myself and I started screaming and scolding everybody. I told my kids I am not your mom don't call me "mummy" from today. And I preferred remaining silent to my husband showing my anger in my silence. I went inside my bedroom and locked the door from inside.

After an hour I heard some knock-knock on the door. Somebody was calling "Aunty-Aunty". Hearing this soft voice compelled me to open the door. Both my kids were calling me "Aunty-Aunty". The map of the house was changed to the original, as I had left before leaving for shopping. My husband was standing with a cup of tea and that also my favorite one the "lemon tea".

My favorite tea and the innocence of the kids calling me "Aunty-Aunty" melted my heart and I started crying holding all of them together with a tight hug. This was the touch of warmth which was needed to smooth things over.

Then I remember it was Friday night. It's our family head massage time where all of us sit together in a line, each one behind the other one massaging the head of the person in front of him with Parachute Advanced Hot Oil.

See Ya!!!

See Ya

All the celebrities of the apartment out for their big day........................parents can't control their happiness.
Wow!!!" Relief for the whole day.

Over a period of time, I have come across following kinds of parents who come to drop their kids at the school bus stop of the apartment.

1) Always first in the queue be it a storm, rain, fog or anything.

2) Always late, whether the bus comes early or the bus comes late we can find them running always as usual.

3) Some feeding their kids on the way.

4) Some giving thousand instructions to their kid.

5) Some revising the lessons with their kids for the test.

6) Then there are few who keep throwing flying kisses until the bus is out of their sight.

7) Then there are few who are more than happy and cannot hide their emotions. What a relief for the whole day.

8) I have even come across few giving medicines or some cough syrup in the bus.

9) Some you will find coming right from their bed.

10) Some you will find are more conscious about their dress, hairstyle than interested in dropping their kids.

11) I have even come across a few who will run fast to the second bus stop to say one last goodbye.

12) You will find few running back to their apartment to bring something that they forgot like identity card or water bottle.

13) Then you can find few who are dressing their kids on the way, either combing hair or try to fix the tie, belt etc.

14) You can find few well dressed with their own bags too, to go directly to their office from the bus stop.

15) There are few who are writing some diary note or checking some books in the bag.

16) Then there are few with another sibling in the lap, pram or walking with them. Great fun for the little ones to enjoy this morning outing.

17) There are few who are well dressed in their jogging suits to start their morning exercise.

18) You can find few almost ready to meet their friends to start their morning chit-chat.

Now please don't ask me, I fall into which category. Maybe a mix of all of these. Once I was almost out of breath running to catch the bus. I will try adding to the list if found a new one. If you have come across few other interesting ones, u can write in the comment for me to include in this post.

You Make Me Feel Important

You make me feel important

For the world I may not be important
But I know I am important for u

You make me feel important when
My hug becomes your morning alarm

You make me feel important when
You look into my eyes instead of mirror

You make me feel important when
I hear a knock knock soon as I enter the restroom

U make me feel important when
My lap becomes your pillow at night

U make me feel important when
U are restless to share your joys with me

U make me feel important when
U share your secrets with me

U make me feel important when
U want me to look into your eyes while talking

U make me feel important when
U call me hundred times a day

U make me feel important when
U look for me for solution to your problems

You make me feel important when
I get a phone call soon as I go out

I know I am going to loose this importance sooner or later when u are grown up
But I just want to tell u, you will always be important for me.

Tit For Tat

I was calling my kids for sleeping. They were watching cartoon videos on youtube and not coming to sleep. They kept saying last video last video. After some time I got angry and asked them why are they not listening to me. My younger one answered immediately. As you feed us 4-5 extra bites saying last bite, last bite, in the same way we will watch 4-5 extra videos saying last video, last video.
